Coast To Coast Publications has just completed a major expansion of their Miramichi, NB facility, more than doubling the plant's size. "With the addition of the Delta hotels we were serving well over 200 hotels across Canada. We needed more room and more capacity. We also felt we had to have total control of the production process from design to finished binders. This would ensure both quality and timeliness," says Company President Cindy Fairhurst-MacDonald.

Coast To Coast has always provided consultation, design and print services. The addition of in-house manufacture of binders completes the total one-stop concept. However, the expansion improves service in all areas of production. For example, erogonomic workstations and job tracking in the Design and Customer Service Department, reduces turn around time for proofs and revisions for both directory pages and advertiser pages. The clean, well-organized environment is a great morale boost for company staff as well!

The two-story expansion at the rear of the building houses the press room with its newly acquired Heidelberg press for full colour printing. Also on the main floor is the manufacturing site for tabs, presentation covers and menus.

The second floor is home to the Coast To Coast Binder Manufacturing Facility, where we produce conventional or custom ring binders in a wide variety of materials in sizes from 4 X 6 to 9 X 12 sheet size. Covers can be stamped, embossed or debossed with corporate logos. The state of the art equipment is capable of providing guest directories, telephone covers, menu covers, credit card holders and a variety of customized promotional items for the hospitality industry.
